Review: Heffron Drive charms on music video for ‘Everything Has Changed’ (Includes first-hand account)

This video was a part of “The Live Sessions,” and its beginning melody is slightly reminiscent of Matt Nathanson’s “Come On Get Higher.” Both Kendall Schmidt and Dustin Belt accompany themselves on acoustic guitars (with Belt playing lead guitar), while Schmidt nails the vocals, showcasing his gentle yet captivating voice.

“Nothing is the same since I met you, My heart sometimes is easy to get due, With shadows of the past disturb my night, Make them run and hide, Cause nothing is the same since I met you,” Schmidt sings.

The lyrics are delicate yet powerful, bringing out the rawness and authenticity in this love ballad. Schmidt maintains great control over his vocals, and displays his wide range eloquently. “Everything Has Changed” has a positive and optimistic message to it that will resonate well with their fans and listeners.

The Verdict

Heffron Drive’s music video for “Everything Has Changed” ought to be enjoyed for its beauty and simplicity. It was well-received when the duo performed it live in New York City at The Studio at Webster Hall. This song garners an A+.
