Review: Hanson delivers on orchestral ‘Siren Call,’ to release new album (Includes first-hand account)

This song was indeed made to be performed with a string orchestra, and it has a haunting vibe to it. Hanson allows their crisp harmonies to shine throughout the tune. It premiered on NPR Music.

Their new double album, String Theory, will be released on November 9. This musical effort will feature new and rearranged recordings, where they are backed by a full symphonic orchestra; moreover, it will be available in digital and hard copy formats.

On November 13, Hanson will be playing at the iconic Beacon Theatre in New York City, live with an orchestra, where fans and listeners can expect to hear “Siren Call.”

The Verdict

Overall, Hanson delivers on their new song “Siren Call.” They are able to keep things fresh, and it is great to see them take risks with their music. It is safe to say that this bold risk (recording with a full orchestra) has paid off. “Siren Call” garners two thumbs up.
