Review: Hannah Bethel back with soothing new single ‘You Wanna Be My Man’ (Includes first-hand account)

Her new single “You Wanna Be My Man” is a fun and sassy tune. She co-penned the song with songwriter David Myhre, and it is a track from her latest album Never Ending Sky. It has a neo-traditionalist vibe to it, that will certainly please fans of the traditional country music.

Bethel’s vocals on “You Wanna Be My Man” are gentle and lilting. “When I know all of a sudden, You find all turned around,” she sings. Her music video, which she directed and produced herself, was filmed half in black and white, and half in color, which is a neat contrast, especially with the archive footage of westerns.

Throughout her musical career, Bethel has opened for such country artists as Trisha Yearwood, Frankie Ballard, Canaan Smith, Charlie Worsham and Joe Nichols, among others.
