The majority of the songs that he performed were from his Wanted on Voyage studio album, which was released earlier this year via his record label, Columbia Records. He began his set with “Cassy O'” and it was followed by “Stand By Your Gun,” which highlighted Ezra’s deep voice, and “Listen To The Man.”
Ezra continued with “Benjamin Twine” and the bonus track on his album, “Song 6”; moreover, he was able to tip his hat to the great Bob Dylan thanks to his haunting cover of “Girl From The North Country.”
One of the most pleasant surprises was his unique version of Macy Gray’s sweet song “I Try,” which resonated well with the audience, especially they hadn’t heard it in quite some time. He closed with his 12-song set with “Barcelona” and his smash radio single “Budapest,” the latter of which was the song that everybody was waiting for all evening.
Ezra returned for his encore, which featured a refreshing, acoustic version of “Blind Man in Amsterdam” and “Did You Hear the Rain?”
The Verdict
