Review: Gareth Emery and Janet Devlin mesmerize on new track ‘Lost’ (Includes first-hand account)

It is featured on his latest studio effort, 100 Reasons to Live, which garnered a rave review from Digital Journal. Their track can be heard on Emery’s YouTube page below.

Devlin’s vocals on “Lost” are crystalline, vulnerable and infectious. Her crisp voice is reminiscent of Tori Amos meets Jewel. It is one of those tracks that one could listen to all day without getting tired. Emery is brilliant on its production, and allows the music to speak for itself.

The Verdict

Overall, Gareth Emery and Janet Devlin shine on “Lost.” Just when one thought that Emery could not get any better, he proves his fans and listeners wrong again. If anybody is in doubt that this track is a masterpiece, they ought to see Emery and Devlin’s raw, unplugged version that they recorded in London, where he accompanies her on piano, and the listeners will be blown away. Either way, this song garners an A+.
