Actors Gabe Armentano and Casey Schryer star in the new Vigloo vertical drama “Find Me, Mr. President!

In this new movie, Grace Carter (Casey Schryer) chose to leave her boyfriend Ethan Reed eight years ago — as she was badgered by his mother Kate Garrett (Hunter Phoenix) — who wants him to become a man of power (U.S. President). In doing so, Grace hides her pregnancy to Ethan and his family, and raises her baby girl on her own.

Fast-forward many years later, Ethan is voted as the youngest U.S. President all while Grace is working as a slum cleaner, and she struggles to raise their daughter Bell (Olivia Fokova).

One day, at a holiday charity function, Bella runs up towards Ethan and she calls him “Daddy,” which puzzles the media and press. Will this help rekindle the relationship they once had?

Casey Schryer delivers a sentimental acting performance as the sympathetic yet struggling young mother Grace while Gabe Armentano is suave and the voice of reason as President Ethan Reed (where the viewer can slightly recall a young Ralph Macchio).

Olivia Fokova is adorable as their young daughter Bella, who nails her breakout performance.

Lauren Bonham is appealing as the vindictive vixen Claire, while Hunter Phoenix is convincing as the president’s diabolical mother Kate. They both play manipulative female characters that the audience will love to hate.

In fact, everybody in the cast helps brings this story to life.

The Verdict

Overall, “Find Me, Mr. President!” is a heartwarming, bold, and brave new vertical drama. Casey Schryer and Gabe Armentano pull off dynamic performances where they are not afraid to be vulnerable.

This is a moving story about second changes, finding one’s true paternity (and doing everything possible to make it right), as well as family and love. It deserves to be enjoyed for its rawness, beauty, and authenticity.

This is the quintessential micro-drama to watch during the holidays.

“Find Me, Mr. President!” is a new Vigloo drama that is worth checking out, and it garners two thumbs up.
