“All My Children” alum actors Jacob Young, Jordi Vilasuso, Alicia Minshew, and Melissa Claire Egan, participated in a virtual fan event on Sunday, May 7, which was well-received.

In this Zoom fan event, produced by Coastal Entertainment, all four actors shared some of their favorite storylines on the defunct yet beloved ABC daytime drama “All My Children.”

They also shared where they are at now at this stage of their lives, and what being on a soap opera has taught them about themselves, not only as actors and storytellers, but as individuals.

Jacob Young

Jacob Young stated that he is helping kids by transforming teaching along with actor Trent Garrett by connecting students with Hollywood.

He is also the host of the mental health podcast “Real Conversations with Jacob Young.”

Jordi Vilasuso

Vilasuso revealed that his charity, the Code Red Foundation, protects the youth of our country. It is about keeping kids safe in school. “It is very purposeful and it feeds my soul,” Vilasuso said, prior to adding that he is also going into producing, even though there is a writer’s strike in Los Angeles.

Melissa Claire Egan is still working on a daytime drama, and she recently had a heavy storyline on “The Young and The Restless,” where she plays Chelsea. It dealt with mental health and depression.

“It was a big responsibility to do it properly… and to help people feel seen and less alone… The writers, the show and producers were all amazing and took the time to ensure that this storyline was done properly,” Egan said.
