On October 8, actors Finola Hughes and James Patrick Stuart (“General Hospital”) appeared at Governor’s Comedy Club in Levittown on Long Island.
Emmy winner Finola Hughes is known for her longtime portrayal of Anne Devane on the ABC daytime drama “General Hospital,” which she has played for over 35 years. Emmy nominee James Patrick Stuart plays Valentin Cassadine.
They participated in an in-person fan event for an intimate group of fans. This event was produced by Coastal Entertainment.
The actors interviewed each other about their careers in the entertainment business and how they got their start. They also shared that they have known each other for nearly three decades, and now they are affectionately known as the super-couple #Vanna by their long-time fans and supporters.
Hughes noted that she is turned on by wit and intelligence, while she is turned off by stupidity. Her favorite sound to hear is babies, while her least favorite sound is hearing anyone chew a banana.
Stuart revealed that his favorite word is “daddy,” and that he is turned off by dishonesty. For Stuart, confidence and proficiency are a turn-on. His favorite sound to hear is “rain on a tin roof.”
When asked if she were to write, produce, and direct her own short film (and what topic it would be on), Hughes responded, “I would like to do a short film that would be a conversation between two women from very different areas in their life, and they have something in common, which is a real catalyst and they have a conversation. I would like to go through some topics that women deal with.”
They also partook in a question and answer (Q & A) session with some of the fans, which was an added bonus.
“#Vanna is the real OG,” Sara Anne Huenke said, fan and attendee. “They have known each other for 30 years and you can feel their chemistry. Finola and James Patrick are talented actors and true professionals. It was heartwarming to see the respect they have for each other on and off the screen,” Huenke elaborated.
