“Estella” is a powerful new episode in the western series “Ride.” It will officially premiere on Sunday, April 16 on the Hallmark Channel.
Paolo Barzman once again directed this episode from a screenplay by Rebecca Boss and Chris Masi.
The all-star cast features Nancy Travis, Tiera Skovbye (“Riverdale”), Beau Mirchoff (“Awkward”), Sara Garcia (“The Flash”), Jake Foy (“Designated Survivor”), and
Tyler Jacob Moore (“Shameless”). The episode “Estella” is filled with multiple plot twists and surprises that will keep the audience engaged.
In this week’s episode, Isabel’s (Nancy Travis) birthday celebration is disrupted by an emergency on the ranch.
Isabel is one that never wants to do anything special for her birthday, however, the family is determined to make this year different for her. When the family is unable to get Isabel to leave the stables, they call in the local farrier, Cody (played by James Tupper), to assist in the situation.
Valeria (Sara Garcia) is still trying to find her footing as a new boss (along with Tuff). She tries to work her way into the ranch-hand boys club via their traditional Poker game.
Valeria gets a less than cordial reception from Tuff, who is more suspicious after finding a stash of fake IDs in the stable. Their confrontation is one that should not be missed.
Bothered by a run-in with her disapproving mother (played by Tammy Isbell), Missy (Tiera Skovbye) gets her mind off of things when oil baron Gus Booker (Tyler Jacob Moore) asks her to give his niece Sophie (newcomer Isla Spencer) riding lessons.
As they tour the ranch, Gus and Missy grow closer, but the moment is short-lived when an emergency strikes the ranch, and everyone is pulled in to help before it’s too
late.
Skovbye has some neat, poignant scenes opposite young actress Isla Spencer, and she has solid chemistry with Tyler Jacob Moore.
Without giving too much away, Sara Garcia delivers a powerhouse performance as Valeria that really tugs at the heartstrings.
