Award-winning actor Erik Fellows (“Purgatory”) and Eli Jane star in the new film “Mom Married a Secret Tycoon.”

It was directed by Amy Yao, where Eli Jane plays Jones, a single mother of two daughters who gets thrown out with no place to go who then meets and marries a secret tycoon by the name of Bruce (portrayed by Erik Fellows).

When Jones is faced with eviction, the family finds themselves in dire straits until a mysterious gardener, Bruce, offers to give some assitance.

As the story unfolds, Jones and Bruce grow closer, but Bruce’s true identity as a wealthy individual gradually comes to light.

Meanwhile, Vicky’s former husband, David, and mother, Ember, cause trouble in their pursuit of inheritance.

Things gets even more complicated when Diana, Bruce’s mother and family matriarch, names Jane as the heir to the fortune, while also granting assets to Jones and Vicky, completely changing their lives.

The Verdict

Overall, this is a movie that has it all: drama, passion, wit, romance, and several interesting twists and turns plot-wise that nobody sees coming.

Eli Jane is bubbly and effervescent as Jones, and she has great chemistry with Fellows.

Erik Fellows is a revelation as Bruce, and without giving anything away, it has a clever and intriguing ending that fans and viewers won’t want to miss. All his years in the daytime drama and the digital drama worlds sharpening his acting chops have certainly paid off for Fellows.

The movie is worth checking out, and it garners four out of five stars. Nicely done.

“Mom Married a Secret Tycoon” is a vertical reel that is available to stream on the DramaWave app, which is on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
