On Sunday, February 5th, actors Eden McCoy and Evan Hofer of “General Hospital” participated in a virtual fan event, which was well-received by fans.
An Emmy-nominated actress, McCoy plays Josslyn Jacks on the show, while Hofer portrays Dex Heller.
This Zoom fan event was produced by Coastal Entertainment, and the actors shared some of their behind-the-scenes stories working on the hit ABC daytime drama series “General Hospital,” which is about to celebrate its 60th anniversary this April.
‘Run the Race’
Prior to “General Hospital,” Hofer starred in the movie “Run the Race,” which deals with two brothers Zach Truett (Tanner Stine) and Dave Truett (Evan Hofer), who had one unbreakable bond. Tim and Robby Tebow served as executive producers of the film. It also stars Kristoffer Pollaha and Frances Fisher. “I love Frances Fisher so much, she is the best,” Hofer said.
Dream Loud campaign
They both opened up about being a part of Brad Everett Young’s Dream Loud campaign, which works on preserving arts and music programs in schools.
On being a part of the Dream Loud campaign, McCoy said, “It has been so fun. Brad is such a talented photographer, and he has taken pictures of me over the years. I’ve known Brad for a long time so I’ve always known what he is about and I think it’s awesome what he does. We had been planning something and I reached out to Evan, and we went to grab some pictures.”
Hofer remarked, “It was cool because I had met Brad at the ‘Run the Race’ premiere. He was there that night and we had been trying to shoot together that entire time, and then the pandemic hit, so it worked out.”
“Brad is incredibly talented and his pictures have a cinematic vibe to them, and everything he is about, is incredibly respectable so it was a great opportunity to shoot with him,” Hofer added.
