Review: Easton Corbin infectious on ‘Somebody’s Gotta Be Country’ single (Includes first-hand account)

The song, co-penned by songwriters Ashley Gorley, Dallas Davidson, and Rhett Akins, is remarkable from a lyrical and melodic standpoint. Corbin is pure country, and he never disappoints. Corbin’s rich and smooth vocals are reminiscent of the early musical work of Alan Jackson meets Joe Nichols.

His song’s music video was directed by Dusty Barker. Most impressive about this tune is the fact that it captures the essence of Corbin and who he is as a country recording artist.

“Somebody’s Gotta Be Country” is available on iTunes and on Spotify.

The Verdict

Overall, Easton Corbin is back with a refreshing new radio single “Somebody’s Gotta Be Country.” It has a neo-traditional country vibe to it, and Corbin, as always, stays true to his musical roots. The country stations ought to play this on heavy rotation, especially since Corbin is one of the most underrated male artists in the genre. “Somebody’s Gotta Be Country” garners an A rating.
