“New York City,” Lynch shouted. “Who is ready to party a little bit tonight, New York?” and he opened his set with his upbeat tune, the rocking “To The Sky.”
“Who is ready to celebrate with us?” he asked. “Here we go.”
“Ya’ll better crank up those tractors, New York,” he said, prior to breaking into the sassy “She Cranks My Tractor.”
“Where are my angels at tonight?” he asked, and went on to sing “Halo,” as he accompanied himself on acoustic guitar.
“New York City, welcome to the ‘Hell of a Night’ tour,” he said. “Thank you guys for selling out our very first show ever in New York.”
“Are you enjoying the warm weather we brought to town?” he joked. Lynch noted that it was their goal as a band to make a great memory for the fans and for themselves, and he went on to sing “All Night.”
He brought his fans back to the 90s with a cover of Joe Diffie’s “John Deere Green” and he sang “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.” It was followed by several of his own songs such as “After Party,” “Sing it to me,” “Wild in your Smile” and “The Thunder Rolls.”
Lynch shared that this one of the “best crowds” they have had so far on their tour, and he even covered Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” as a result of spinning a karaoke wheel.
He introduced his brand new single “Mind Reader” and delivered a delicate performance, proving that it deserves to go No. 1. Lynch shared that this is one night that he will never forget, and went on to perform his breakthrough single “Cowboys and Angels,” which he dedicated to his grandmother and grandfather, as they are celebrating 60 years together. Most impressive was the fact that he changed the final lyric to “New York girls and guys like me, cowboys and angels,” which was well-received by the crowd.
Lynch closed with “Where It’s At (Yep, Yep)” and the spitfire “Hell of a Night.”
