Review: Dustin Lynch becomes newest member of the hallowed Grand Ole Opry (Includes first-hand account)

Trace Adkins made the surprise announcement, as he was celebrating his 15-year anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Adkins remarked that being made a “Grand Ole Opry member” was one of the highlights in his career in the music business. Lynch will be formally inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry on September 18.

Lynch was overcome with emotion and was moved to tears. He thanked everybody who helped him along the way. He recalled that his breakthrough single “Cowboys and Angels” was the first tune that he ever got to play on the Grand Ole Opry, and that was back in March of 2012. “I will never forget that day,” Lynch admitted, prior to thanking his parents for coming tonight.

Throughout his career in the contemporary country scene, Lynch has performed at the Opry multiple times. Three of his albums reached the Top 5 on the charts, and he has secured five No. 1 singles on country radio and has earned platinum certifications along the way. Becoming a member of the historic Grand Ole Opry is Lynch’s latest pinnacle.

His latest single “Good Girl” is available on iTunes.
