Review: Duckwrth releases ‘Fall Back,’ to play Rough Trade in New York (Includes first-hand account)

His unapologetic new song thrives on the energy and soul that has transformed the Los Angeles rapper into an emerging music phenomenon among rap and hip-hop audiences. It has a neat groove to it, and it is a fitting and bold tune to conclude the summer with. It is featured on his upcoming musical effort, Falling Man.

Duckwrth is kicking off his first American and European headlining “Falling Man” tour on October 5 at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana, California.

On October 19, Duckwrth will be performing at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, New York, where he will be making his Afropunk debut.

The Verdict

Overall, Duckwrth’s single “Fall Back” has a funky, hip-hop vibe to it, which will resonate well with his fans and listeners. The lyrics are raw and authentic. This song garners four out of five stars. Well done.
