Review: Dirtcaps deliver on refreshing new track ‘Midnight Sun’ (Includes first-hand account)

Their new single “Midnight Sun” came two weeks after the release of “Dime Pieces,” which was the first mix compilation. It was done via their record label, Klash, in partnership with Armada Music. Raphaella lends her emotional vocals on the track, who is known for “Walking With Lions,” her collaboration with Codeko, which was the anthem for Electric Zoo back in 2016.

Raphaella’s vocals on the track are breathy and smooth. It begins with colorful chord progressions, and it breaks into delicate rhythms and clean synths. It is made to be played for dance-floors and at large festivals.

Throughout their career in the music business, Dirtcaps have played such music festivals as Defqon.1 in Chile, Tomorrowland, Tomorrowworld and Mysteryland; moreover, they have done remixes for such electronic music stars as Hardwell, W&W, DJ Carnage and Laidback Luke, among others.

The Verdict

Overall, Dirtcaps deliver on their upbeat new song “Midnight Sun.” It displays their diversity as recording artists and producers. “Midnight Sun” is well worth more than just a passing glance, and it garners four out of five stars. Well done.

“Midnight Sun” is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
