Both musicians accompanied themselves on acoustic guitars. They covered “I Won’t Back Down” by Tom Petty, where Daughtry and Cook both soared on harmonies. Their voices blended well together, and they were soothing and powerful at the same time. Equally compelling was their version of “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac, as everybody was singing along with them. Their performance garnered a warm reception, and rightfully so.
Speaking of Daughtry, he just announced his upcoming fifth studio album, Cage to Rattle, will be released on July 27 via 19 Recordings/RCA Records. It features his lead single “Deep End.”
