Review: David Bowie haunting on new music video for ‘Lazarus’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Lazarus” is a track from his chart-topping album, Blackstar. It was written solely by David Bowie, and co-produced by Bowie and his producer, Tony Visconti.

“Look up here, man, I’m in danger, I’ve got nothing left to lose, I’m so high, it makes my brain whirl, dropped my cell phone down below, ain’t that just like me,” Bowie sings.

The Verdict

Overall, David Bowie is able to deliver on his last music video for “Lazarus,” and it is a fitting farewell for his fans and listeners. It sends chills down one’s spine, similar to Johnny Cash’s video for “Hurt.” Bowie’s “Lazarus” music video garners two thumbs up.
