Review: Darlene Love flawless on new ‘Forbidden Nights’ single (Includes first-hand account)

It is the second song featured on the album, which will be released on September 18 via Columbia Records/Wicked Cool. Steven Van Zandt from the E Street Band served as her arranged and producer, and did a superb job on this tune, since it brings back a retro 60s feel.

“Forbidden Nights” was written solely by veteran musician Elvis Costello. “I will always remember, forbidden nights,” Love sings, with her powerhouse voice. It has an uplifting vibe to it, a remarkable melody, coupled with sweet backing vocals.
