His vocals on “Good As It Gets” are crisp, haunting and impressive. He co-wrote “As Good As It Gets,” and it was produced by noteworthy producer Charlie Handsome, who has worked with such artists as Kanye West, Ariana Grande and Mac Miller.
The music video was filmed in Los Angeles, California, and it was directed by Van Alpert. It helps elevate the song to a higher level. “She don’t even wanna know the worst part of this, 20,000 miles since the last time we kissed, I don’t even wanna see your face when I leave, cause she already know this as good as it gets,” Skye sings, in the chorus.
Most recently, Skye got signed to RCA Records. He was already a social media phenomenon on such platforms as Spotify, Instagram and YouTube.
The Verdict
Overall, Daniel Skye delivers on his debut single and music video for “Good As It Gets.” His voice is distinct, and there is nobody else that sounds like him on the radio airwaves. Hopefully, this is a harbinger of bigger and better things to come for Skye in the future. The song garners an A rating.
