Episode eight of Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, titled “Love Wanders,” is currently streaming on Crunchyroll and FUNimation for paid subscribers. Free members can watch the same episode six days from now on March 3rd.
I found the episode’s start to be very hilarious because it begins with a male hikikomori, a social shut-in, cursing the world only to find the Conquest Club members magically appearing inside his room. It is funny to watch, but really weird and awkward if that happened in real life.
It was surprising that the Conquest Club quickly acted.
I laughed when the villain of the week does his work and brainwashes Yufuin into becoming angry and bitter, but not in a scary way. It made it look like he and Atsushi were a bickering romantic couple even though the two of them are straight.
Watching the scene made it look like Yufuin was on PMS or something.
I laughed harder when Yufuin fathomed the possibility of going through menopause, which is a condition that females go through. Watching Yufuin go through an emo-f—k phase made the scene more entertaining than it is to watch.
Yufuin and Atsushi arguing like jilted lovers is perhaps the most priceless part of this episode.
I laughed when the monster of the week is a large hikikomori monster, but I laughed harder when Yumoto demanded that he comes out to get some “love.”
I was expecting this episode to be funny like the others, but I was shocked at the awesome fight scene near the end. The rock ‘n roll music track complimented the mood of the fight as Yufuin and Atsushi wasted no time beating up the monster.
This is perhaps one of the best episodes of this anime so far.
