Review: Creigh Riepe melts your heart with Thomas Rhett ‘Marry Me’ cover (Includes first-hand account)

Riepe’s version of “Marry Me” is heartfelt, somber and moving. He is able to convey a wide range of emotions throughout the tune, and he sings with the same amount of soul and conviction that Thomas Rhett invested in the country ballad.

Most recently, “Marry Me” topped the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, for the week of March 10, 2018, and Riepe gives it a chart-topping caliber vocal performance that it deserves. That holds true for any song that Riepe sings, original or cover tune. He is able to give it his all.

The Verdict

Overall, Creigh Riepe’s version of “Marry Me” is exceptional. He would make Thomas Rhett proud, as a singer and as a songwriter. Riepe is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable. This “Marry Me” cover garners an A rating.
