The EP opens with the mid-tempo title track tune, the flirtatious “See You Try,” where he displays his nonchalant, laid-back vocals. It is followed by the melodically infectious “Me Missing You,” and the inclusion of his moving ballad “Outskirts of Heaven” is an added bonus.
“Mas Tequila” has a Jake Owen vibe to it, coupled with a neat groove. It continues with the mid-tempo “Upstairs,” and the nostalgic “Kids In the South,” where he reflects on his childhood days.
This seven-track collection closes with the acoustic version of “Outskirts of Heaven,” which allows the listener to experience his voice in his purest, stripped down form.
See You Try is available on iTunes, and on Spotify.
