Review: Country singer Kane Brown rocks the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater (Includes first-hand account)

Brown shared the stage with such country artists as The Cadillac Three, Cole Swindell and Florida Georgia Line, the latter of which headlined their “Dig Your Roots” tour.

He opened his set with “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now,” where he was able to interact with the crowd and shake a few hands. “Thank ya’ll for coming out tonight. We’re going to have fun,” Brown said, prior to noting that she comes from a small town in Georgia, where he used to hang out at the Walmart parking lot.

It was followed by the ballad “Wide Open,” and he went on to share that his forthcoming studio album will be released on October 21, which ironically enough falls on his birthday, and one of his favorite songs on there is “Pull It Off.”

Brown revealed that his next single is “Thunder In the Rain,” and he delivered a solid version of the song. He closed with his breakthrough song “Used to Love You Sober,” which was well-received by the Jones Beach audience.

The Verdict

Overall, Kane Brown showcased a tremendous amount of potential to become the next big male star in country. These songs were a great introduction to his craft and artistry. His set garnered 4.5 out of 5 stars.
