Review: Country group Gloriana back with best album to date: ‘Three’ (Includes first-hand account)

Matt Serletic served as the producer for this musical project. It begins with their latest radio single “Trouble,” and it is followed by the refreshing “Ain’t Runnin’ Outta Summer,” which features the trio’s stunning harmonies.

“Are You Ready” has neat conversational lyrics, while “Nobody But You” features Rachel’s powerhouse vocals. “It’s On Tonight” is the quintessential tune to sing along to on this album, due to its “oh oh oh” hooks. “Fight” is yet another lyrically-potent tune.

“Wanna Get To Know You” has the potential to become another single of theirs in the future, and it consists of strong instrumentals. “Let’s Take A Shot” is a soaring party song and the group nails it.

Rachel displays her honey-rich voice on “Get Back That Goodbye,” while the Gossin brothers (Tom and Mike) harmonize well with her. The highlight vocal on the album is “Lighters,” which is perhaps their best performance to date. Their album closes with the gorgeous “It Won’t Let Go” and the laid-back “My Somebody.”

The Verdict

Gloriana is back stronger than ever on their third studio album, which is appropriately titled Three. Their new record is worth more than just a passing glance, by one of country’s most underrated bands. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
