Rising artist, pianist, and composer Connie Han released her new album “Secrets of Inanna,” which is simply glorious.

It was inspired by Mesopotamian Mythology. This musical effort opens with “Prima Materia,” which instantly lures listeners into this collection, and it is followed by the enthralling “Ereshkigal of the Underworld” and “Gilgamesh and the Celestial Bull.”

She slows down the tempo on “Moring Star” and equally noteworthy are “Vesica Piscis” and “Young Moon.”

The lengthy but remarkable “Wind Rose Goddess” is a standout track. After “Dumuzi of Uruk,” it closes with “Desert Air” and “Enki’s Gift,” where she leaves her listeners yearning for more.

Every song on this new jazz album has its own identity, where there is something in it for every person and every mood. Bill Wysaske did a solid job with its production. It has a soothing and calming vibe to it.

“Secrets of Inanna” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. It garners two giant thumbs up.
