Review: Cole Swindell back with uplifting new single ‘Let Me See Ya Girl’ (Includes first-hand account)

It is the follow-up to his previous radio singles “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” and “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” both of which were well-received by Digital Journal, as was his breakthrough single “Chillin’ It.”

“Let Me See Ya Girl” is making its way up the Billboard Hot Country Airplay and Country Songs charts, and rightfully so. It was co-penned by Swindell, as well as Michael Carter and Jody Stevens; moreover, Carter produced the single.

While it may contain a few elements of “bro-country,” there is nothing wrong with that, and similar to Swindell’s previous singles, it is infectious and a great deal of fun, with strong hooks, memorable melodies, and a catchy chorus. Simply put, it is a recipe for another No. 1 song.

“I can see you getting my tailgate rocking, Moving your hips like wind moves cotton, You can get the whole wide country side hopping,” Swindell sings.

The Verdict

Overall, Cole Swindell is as good as ever on his newest single “Let Me See Ya Girl.” Every single he has ever released to radio has been a chart-topping hit single, and this tune should be no different. It is easily one of the finest tracks on his eponymous debut album, and “Let Me See Ya Girl” garners an A rating.
