Review: Chuck Wicks pays tribute to Prince with ‘Purple Rain’ cover

Wicks‘ version of “Purple Rain” may be seen on the official Facebook page of America’s Morning Show by clicking here. Wicks accompanied himself on acoustic guitar, and performed a neat, solo rendition, where he was able to display the rawness of the lyrics in a delicate performance.

The country singer and radio personality (who co-hosts America’s Morning Show with Kelly Ford and Blair Garner) was able to prove that good music such as Prince’s “Purple Rain” can stand the test of time, and it can defy genres.

A Delaware native, Wicks has released his new album, Turning Point, which garnered a glowing review from Digital Journal.
