“Already Gone Away” consists of conversational lyrics, and it has a traditional country vibe to it, coupled with Esten’s rich yet haunting voice. In this relationship song, the male narrator is trying to hold on to his woman who may be there physically, but she is not there emotionally.
“Get it good again, if you just stay, she said okay, but she’s already gone, already gone away,” Esten sings.
An acclaimed actor, Esten will reprise his role as Deacon Claybourne in the hit series Nashville, which will make its fifth season debut on CMT (Country Music Television) in January of 2017.
