Canadian country artist Carolyn Dawn Johnson is back with her new radio single “Road Blocks.”

The song is mid-tempo, uplifting, and sassy, which features Johnson’s distinct crystalline vocals. She maintains solid control over her voice throughout this recording.

It comes with a catchy chorus: “I got my eye on the prize, unlimited skies, oh, I’m gonna drive, right on through.. those take me out spikes, those slow me down signs, oh, I’m gonna drive, right on through, right on through those road blocks,” Johnson sings.

The lyrics are full of positivity and inspiration, especially during these challenging times that the world is going through. She is not afraid to say things as they are, and the audience is bound to find it raw and relatable.

It is neat to hear new music from Johnson, who is a five-time “Female Artist of the Year” winner at the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs).

Hopefully, this is a harbinger for more quality music from Carolyn Dawn Johnson in the future.

“Road Blocks” is available on digital service providers by clicking here, and it is a keeper.
