Review: Canaan Cox soars on new self-titled country EP (Includes first-hand account)

Cox’s new EP was released on October 27 via the independent record label Break The Cycle Entertainment, and there is a lot of versatility on this musical effort. It opens with the infectious and spitfire song “Coming Back,” which instantly lures the country listener in this new EP. It is followed by the laid-back and nonchalant tune “Summer,” and the acoustic ballad, “Just Me,” which features his rich, baritone vocals. It closes with the mid-tempo and refreshing “Givin’ up.”

The Verdict

Overall, Canaan Cox delivers on his eponymous new country EP. There is something in it for everybody. Every song is original and distinct. It is evident that Cox is going places, and he has found his home in the country music scene. This EP is definitely a keeper, and it garners an A- rating.

Canaan Cox’s new self-titled EP is available on Amazon and on iTunes.
