Review: Calum Scott soulful on new ‘Dancing on My Own’ music video (Includes first-hand account)

He has inked a record deal with Capitol Records, and he is able to give the original Robyn recording a sultry twist to it. Scott released a ballad version of her song, “Dancing on My Own,” which is quite haunting and his crisp vocals are reminiscent of Adam Levine from Maroon 5. The song has fared well in the U.K. and it deserves to be recognized in America for its merit.

On November 11, he will be performing at Gramercy Theatre in the heart of New York City.

Calum Scott’s “Dancing on My Own” is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, Calum Scott charms on his new music video for “Dancing on My Own.” He is really able to tap into the rawness and the authenticity of the song. He sings with a great deal of soul and emotion. Scott is not afraid to display his vulnerability. This music video garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
