He covered Radiohead’s “Creep,” which began in a haunting fashion, as a piano-driven ballad, and it built up into a true vocal powerhouse. The song was personal and meaningful to him, to the point where his listening audience and viewers at home could relate to its heartfelt lyrics. His performance was filled with raw emotions, and sung with a lot of heart, as he displayed his wide vocal range.
Crum’s version of “Creep” was equal in excellence to Adam Lambert’s performance of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World” on American Idol many years ago, in that they were both poignant, and able to touch their listeners on an emotional level.
The Verdict
The future in the music industry is very bright for Brian Justin Crum. With an exquisite performance of this caliber, Crum deserves to win this season of America’s Got Talent. His voice is one in a million. Radiohead would be smiling. His live performance of “Creep” garnered an A rating.
