He performed at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, for a sold-out venue.
Eldredge, dressed to impress, began his set with “Fire.” “C’mon everybody,” he said. “Get On your feet. Let’s do it.” The stage was graced in red lights and Eldredge interacted well with the fans.
“Get ready to get sexy on a Sunday night,” Eldredge told the Jones Beach crowd, prior to singing “On and On.” He had the audience clapping along to his infectious chart-topping single “Beat of the Music,” and towards the end, it incorporated it as an a cappella sing-along with the fans. “Jones Beach, you can sing,” he exclaimed, commending them for a job well done.
“Thanks for supporting me and my music,” he said graciously, prior to noting that it’s the “best feeling in the world.”
He premiered his new tune “I Wanna Be That Song,” but at that point, a brawl with several fans occurred in the left side of the venue’s orchestra level, which lead to security interfering, yet Eldredge continued singing, and handled the situation well. “No more fighting out there,” he said. “All we got time for is love,” he added.
Eldredge sang his latest single “Lose My Mind,” which was upbeat and a great deal of fun. It was followed by a solo, acoustic rendition of his chart-topping love ballad, “Mean To Me,” where he encouraged the crowd to light up the venue with their iPhones, and they gladly fulfilled his request.
He changed the pace with the uptempo “Tell Me Where To Park,” where he accompanied himself on acoustic guitar, showcasing his country-rock side.
“Are you ready for Darius Rucker tonight?” Eldredge asked, prior to sharing that it is an amazing experience to be out on the road with him. He closed with his first No. 1 single “Don’t Ya,” which earned him a standing ovation.
The Verdict
Overall, Brett Eldredge was incredible at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island. His energy, stage presence and bubbly personality are all to be commended. His vocals were rich and captivating. He sang with a lot of heart and emotion. It will only be a matter of time before Eldredge starts selling out the Jones Beach Theater himself. His live show garnered 5 out of 5 stars.
