Boys Like Girls released their brand new single and lyric video for “New Love.”

The song is a track on their upcoming studio album, “Sunday at Foxwoods,” which will be released on October 20 via Fearless Records.

“New Love” truly is a sweet celebration of love. It has a charm and a progressive tempo coupled with catchy sonic layers and hooks.

Frontman Martin Johnson’s rumbling vocals on “New Love” are resonant, and smooth like silk.

It is upbeat, positive, and it has a retro vibe to it, where the listener can recall Chris Martin of Coldplay (“Higher Power”) meets Harry Styles (“Little Freak”).

This is one of the best tracks that the band has released thus far from their new studio album. “New Love” deserves to be played on contemporary radio stations, especially at a time when the majority of the songs on the airwaves are lame and lackluster.

“New Love” showcases depth, maturity and an evolution to their sound and artistry.

Judging from “New Love” and “Cry,” this new direction that Boys Like Girls’ music is going in seems promising and bright. This new music is versatile and engrossing. Martin Johnson is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable.
