Review: Borgeous will blow you away with ‘Dear Me,’ EP (Includes first-hand account)

The EP opens with the mid-tempo yet sultry track “Switchblade,” where he collaborates with Jared Watson from the Dirty Heads. It is followed by the spitfire tune “Alive,” which is a collaboration with rapper IAMSU (who drops a few f bomb expletives), as well as the melodically stunning “Sun Goes Down,” which is pure ear candy and worthy of the repeat button.

After the upbeat and progressive “All That I Need,” the EP closes on a vituperative note with the carefree “I Don’t Wanna,” featuring the gentle vocals of Alex Isaak.

On June 29, Borgeous will be performing at Lavo Nightclub in New York City.

Borgeous’ Dear Me, EP is available on iTunes, and on Spotify.

The Verdict

Overall, the new Borgeous EP Dear Me, is solid and entertaining from start to finish. He continues to excel with the cross-genre collaboration projects on this studio effort, and his production shines throughout this five-track EP. It garners an A- rating.
