Review: Billy Joel band member sings national anthem at MetLife Stadium (Includes first-hand account)

This performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” took place prior to the New York Jets home opener game vs. the Miami Dolphins at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

DelGuidice sang the national anthem a cappella, and he displayed good control of his voice throughout its entire duration. He belted out the high notes towards the end with ease and power. DelGuidice was able to shine in that situation (singing in front of thousands of football fans), and he did “The Star-Spangled Banner” justice. His live rendition garners two thumbs up.

Earlier this week, DelGuidice hosted a virtual concert at his home as part of his “On the Porch” series, which was well-received.

This weekend, on Saturday, September 22, Mike DelGuidice will be performing with the Billy Joel tribute band, Big Shot, at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall in Wantagh. He serves as the front-man and piano player of this Billy Joel cover group.
