Review: Billy Gilman wins ‘Man in the Mirror’ battle round on ‘The Voice’ (Includes first-hand account)

Both vocalists from Team Adam (Levine) went head to head over Michael Jackson’s classic hit “Man in the Mirror,” and they did a wonderful job with their dynamic vocals, and were able to convey a wide spectrum of emotions. Their duet garnered positive feedback from all four coaches, and in the end, Billy Gilman was selected by his mentor Adam Levine as the winner of that battle round.

The Verdict

Overall, Billy Gilman was superb on the battle rounds on The Voice, and the future for him on this show should be bright and limitless. Similar to his audition of Adele’s “Hello,” Gilman was not afraid to showcase his vulnerability as a performer. Their battle round performance garnered two thumbs up.

Billy Gilman chatted with Digital Journal about his recent experience on The Voice.
