On Wednesday, September 11th, pop star Benson Boone performed at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, which were held at the UBS Arena in Elmont on Long Island.

Italian singer-songwriter Damiano David of the rock group Måneskin introduced Boone as he took the UBS Arena stage.

Boone treated the New York audience to his smash single “Beautiful Things,” which he began by accompanying himself on the piano.

He subsequently built it up into a high-adrenaline and captivating performance, which even featured Boone flipping backwards towards the end, an impressive feat for his fans and viewers.

Boone was nominated for a total of four 2024 MTV Video Music Awards: “Best New Artist,” “Push Performance of the Year,” “Best Alternative Video,” and “Song of Summer,” which was presented by Hilton.

Boone took home the Moonman for “Best Alternate Video” for “Beautiful Things,” where he triumphed over music videos by such artists as Bleachers (“Tiny Moves”), Hozier (“Too Sweet”), Imagine Dragons (“Eyes Closed”), Linkin Park (“Friendly Fire”) and Teddy Swims (“Lose Control —Live”).

Hopefully, this is a harbinger for more great things to come from Boone in the future.

His song’s music video for “Beautiful Things” was directed by Matt Eastin. The song was written by Benson Boone, Jackson Lafrantz Larsen, and Evan Blair.

“Beautiful Things is a track on his “Fireworks & Rollerblades” debut studio album, which is available on digital service providers by clicking here.
