Aventura was able to give their fans an up-close and intimate show at a venue, where there was not a bad seat in the house. Aventura had the fans singing along with them on their power-ballads as they were seated on stools, and accompanying themselves with acoustic instruments.
Their set-list included such noteworthy numbers as “Obsesion,” “No Lo Perdona Dios” and “Amor de Madre.” While the songs may have been unfamiliar to the nonnative Spanish speaker, it did not matter, since they performed them with a lot of heart and displayed a wide spectrum of raw emotions. The connections they were able to build with their fans were remarkable.
The Latin boy band is comprised of Romeo Santos on lead vocals, Lenny Santos on guitar, Henry Santos on backing vocals, and bassist Max Santos. They emerged as the Latin equivalent of the Backstreet Boys and that ought to be taken as a compliment.
The Verdict
Overall, Aventura’s show at United Palace Theater was a fitting farewell for their fans. Their set had a lot of variety in it, and there was a great deal of nostalgia in the venue, and their music and stage presence had a certain charm to them that was infectious. Their farewell tour is worth checking out. Their live show in Washington Heights garnered an A rating.
