Singer-songwriter and actor Asher Monroe charms on his latest studio offering “Windows of Time.”
It was produced by the living legend Walter Afanasieff, who has worked with such artists as Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross, Martina McBride, and Barbra Streisand.
This collection was written over a span of three months while Monroe was in Croatia, locking away his phone, reading the Old Testament, and jumping into the sea every day, allowing himself to act as a channel for whatever inspiration came.
It opens with the piano-laden “Wanderlust,” which instantly lures listeners into this album. It is followed by “Why Do You Love Me?” and it is filled with raw emotions; the male narrator sings about the insecurities we face when we are our most vulnerable.
The gorgeous ballad “A Rose Amidst The Thorns” is delicate and divine, and he is able to take his fans and listeners on a musical journey with “Story of a Bird.”
Equally noteworthy is the enthralling and cinematic “Midnight Masquerade.”
After the infectious and radio-friendly “Season in the Sun,” it closes with “Try Me,” which speaks to taking the power back within us, and on a high note with “The Golden Road,” which is sheer bliss.
“Windows of Time” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. Monroe is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable in this organic studio effort. Every song on this project has its own identity. “Windows of Time” is worth more than just a passing glance, and it garners an A rating.
