On March 21st, singer-songwriter and actor Asher Angel released his new single “thinkin bout me” via Makasound Records.

This marks is the second release to come from Angel this year as he gears up to release his upcoming project, which is due to come out around the end of spring.

“thinkin bout me” serves as the follow-up to his song, “alternate ending” which came out at the top of the year and indicated his long-awaited return to music.

Asher Angel allows his rich, rumbling vocals to shine on this tune, which are reminiscent of Morgan Wallen meets Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, and that is meant as a compliment.

“thinkin bout me” tells the story of a man who starts to come to terms with a break-up and decides that the best thing he can do is to better himself as he moves on.

The song fuses elements of traditional country and modern pop to help bring the story across.

Asher Angel truly captures the right energy of the seven stages of grief that comes after the end of a tumultuous relationship.

The song is produced by singer-songwriter and record producer Chrishan, who is known for working with Post Malone, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, and Danny Majic (who has worked with such musical acts as OneRepublic, Chase Matthew, and David Guetta).

Asher Angel’s new single “thinkin bout me” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. He manages to keep his music fresh, commercial, and exciting. It garners two thumbs up.
