Review: Armin van Buuren amazing on new track ‘I Need You’ (Includes first-hand account)

“She walks all late at night, as she says her goodbyes, she’s close to sacrifice, she knows how thin it were,” Blackwood sings, in the opening verse. Their song’s music video features stunning cinematography, and its melodies are as catchy as ever.

This track is Grammy-worthy, and deserves to be nominated for “Best Dance Recording” at a future Grammy ceremony. “I Need You” encompasses elements of soul, electronic and adult contemporary music. Most impressive about the tune are its moving and heartfelt lyrics, which are pure poetry.

The Verdict

“I Need You” is a substantial indication that Armin van Buuren has outdone himself once again. Producer Fernando Garibay is exceptional as well. Singer Olaf Blackwood is amazing on lead vocals, where he will leave his listeners thirsty for more. The track is crisp and captivating, and it’s another gem on Armada Music. “I Need You” garners an A rating.
