Review: Ariana Grande delivers on Whitney Houston ‘I Have Nothing’ cover

She was joined by David Foster on piano, and while sitting on the piano, wearing her elegant white gown, she delivered a spell-binding rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” showcasing her incredible vocal pipes and talent as a contemporary recording artist. Her four octave range was on key the entire time.

As seen in the viral video, her fans at the Inglewood concert in California, most of which were young girls wearing their “cat ears” in honor of Grande, were in total awe and the positive response was overwhelming. Grande allowed her strong vocals to do all the talking, and introduce the classic tune to a younger generation. Her version of “I Have Nothing” earns an A, and it is safe to say that she did Whitney Houston proud.

Her March 20 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City garnered a favorable review from Digital Journal. The same holds true for her latest radio single “One Last Time,” which sits at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
