Review: Andy Putman and Putman Brothers cover Nirvana’s ‘All Apologies’ (Includes first-hand account)

Their version is acoustic with Andy on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, as well as Nick on percussion and harmonies. It has a haunting and nostalgic vibe to it. “All Apologies” was penned by the late Nirvana front-man Kurt Cobain.

“What else should I be, all apologies, what else should I say, everyone is gay, what else should I write, I don’t have the right,” he sings.

The Verdict

Overall, Andy Putman proves to be as good as ever with his cover of Nirvana’s “All Apologies.” Nick does a solid job as well, and their voices blend well together. The Putman Brothers’ cover of “All Apologies” is worth more than just a passing glance, and it is safe to say that the late Kurt Cobain would approve. It ought to be enjoyed for its beauty and simplicity. Their warm rendition garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
