Musician and actor Alexander Ludwig (“The Hunger Games”) shines on his breakthrough studio offering “Highway 99,” which was released via the BBR Music Group/BMG.
It opens with the mid-tempo and uplifting “Sunset Town,” and it is followed by the anthemic lead single “Faded On Me” and the poignant “That’s The Life I Want.”
“Rough Around the Edges” has a spitfire Brantley Gilbert and Justin Moore vibe to it, and “How It Rolls” is refreshing and a great deal of fun.
He picks up the pace with “That Kinda Love” and equally noteworthy are “Like She Wanted To” and “Summer Crazy.”
Other standout tunes include “201 Melrose Avenue” and the catchy “Malibu Blue,” whose vibrant lyrics are pure poetry.
After “Can’t Outrun You,” it closes with the infectious “Love Today” and on a fitting note with the gorgeous ballad “Let Me Be Your Whiskey.”
