Review: Adam Lambert fabulous at Marquee Nightclub in New York (Includes first-hand account)

The doors opened after 11 p.m. and he premiered his latest single “Ghost Town” for a nightclub of screaming fans, most of which were singing the lyrics back to him verbatim. A giant televised screen with blue and red lights featured his name in the background, and it displayed the cover art of his latest studio album, The Original High, which garnered a rave review from Digital Journal.

He was backed by two male dancers, and he showed off a few moves of his own. “Thank you, New York City. I love you guys,” he said, following the warm reception of his performance. “Happy Pride,” he exclaimed, in celebration of Pride Week.

While “Ghost Town” may be about the disappointments in life, his “Glambert” fans at Marquee last night were anything but disappointed. In fact, his vocal was fantastic.

The Verdict

Seeing Adam Lambert perform “Ghost Town” live at the intimate setting of Marquee Nightclub was worth the price of the entry ticket alone. He poured his heart in the song, and was able to hit the high notes effortlessly, while simultaneously commanding the stage. Lambert is the epitome of top-notch talent. He earned an “A” rating for a job well done.
