Review: Adam Lambert amazing at Central Park in New York City (Includes first-hand account)

This was in support of his brand new album, the critically-acclaimed The Original High. He was introduced by co-host Robin Roberts of Good Morning America, and he sang for an excellent turnout. He was backed by a four-piece live band.

Lambert began his set with his haunting new single “Ghost Town,” where his vocals were the quintessential lullaby. He was dancing along throughout the performance, while giant orange balls bounced in the crowd. His dedicated fans were clapping along and cheering him on.

He continued with his dance anthem, the title track song “The Original High,” and he closed with his signature tune, the Grammy-nominated “Whataya Want From Me,” where everybody was singing along to the pop mega-star.

The Verdict

Overall, Adam Lambert’s morning mini-concert for Good Morning America at Central Park was spectacular. He proved that he gets better every time that he takes the stage, and one can only wonder, how he sounds that awesome that early in the morning. Lambert was equally as impressive as his show at KTUphoria. He is a true force to be reckoned with in the music industry, and this new album ought to take him to the next level. His show earned an A rating.
