Replay DigitalJournal.com’s liveblog of the 2010 Academy Awards

It’s become an annual tradition: DigitalJournal.com has liveblogged the Academy Awards. The online coverage was hosted by managing editor David Silverberg and Digital Journalist KJ Mullins.

The liveblog allowed anyone to join the action.

Hosted by Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, the 2010 Academy Awards featured an unprecedented 10 nominees for Best Picture. Avatar and The Hurt Locker lead the nominations race.

The Hurt Locker won Best Picture, while Avatar only won in technical categories. Jeff Bridges won Best Actor and Sandra Bullock took home the Best Actress prize.

History was made tonight – Kathryn Bigelow was the first woman to win Best Director, for her work with Hurt Locker.

The Cove won Best Documentary, Up won Best Animated Feature and Precious won Best Adapted Screenplay. Hurt Locker nabbed the Best Original Screenplay award.
