Rebecca on the Global Watch Party for ‘Kiss the Ground’ and ‘Common Ground’
A groundbreaking event will take place on April 22, which coincides with Earth Day. There will be a “Global Watch Party” for the acclaimed documentaries “Kiss the Ground” and “Common Ground.”
The event will feature an exclusive cast and filmmaker Q & A Livestream with actors and executive producers Rosario Dawson, Ian Somerhalder, and Oscar nominee Demi Moore, as well as Big Picture Ranch filmmakers Josh Tickell and Rebecca Tickell. The films will also be available for the first time on Amazon Prime.

Rebecca on ‘Common Ground’ documentary being released on Amazon
“Common Ground” provides hope for future generations by exploring how regenerative agriculture can help heal the soil, our health, and the planet.
This critical documentary film features Laura Dern, Jason Momoa, Woody Harrelson, Ian Somerhalder, Donald Glover, Rosario Dawson, Mark Hyman, Farmer Gabe Brown, and many others.
The film’s impact extends beyond the screen, with the USDA allocating $20 billion toward soil health initiatives following its release.
The mission of these films includes the ongoing 100 Million Acres Initiative to promote regenerative farming practices.
“It is finally coming out on Amazon,” Rebecca said. “It has been a journey… we premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival back in 2023, and it will be nearly two years by the time it releases globally on Amazon Prime Video.”
This year’s event coincides with Earth Day. “That was the whole plan,” she admitted.
“I love that we make movies about growing regenerative food on a farm where we are learning and practicing growing regenerative food,” Rebecca said.
Rebecca on having her documentaries join the Amazon Prime Video roster
On joining the Amazon Prime Video roster, she remarked, “People who were at Amazon saw an opportunity with these films to actually take action with their own climate pledge and they saw an opportunity to help them achieve their own goals for the climate, so kudos to Amazon Studios for picking up these three films and for getting this message out to the world.”
Rebecca continued, “Regeneration has five practices: keeping the earth covered, no chemicals and no tillage, and biodiversity is key.”
“Also, farming by growing food that makes sense for the area, and taking care of the people who are taking care of the food, and make sure that they are cared for; it’s part of a healthy ecosystem,” she explained.
Rebecca Tickell on ‘Kiss the Ground’
“The Kiss the Ground” climate documentary features celebrities like Woody Harrelson (narrator), Gisele Bündchen, Jason Mraz, Ian Somerhalder, Patricia Arquette, and David Arquette.
Its message of soil regeneration has inspired millions worldwide as a key to reversing climate change. The film has won over 50 U.S. and international film festival prizes.
Rebecca remarked, “The great news is that ‘Kiss the Ground’ is finally coming out with the director’s cut, which has the Indigenous People’s section in there, so it will be a whole new version of ‘Kiss the Ground’ that the world hasn’t seen yet, and that is super exciting.”
“Also, ‘Common Ground’ will finally be released, and it will be available in every language in the world, thankfully. It has been in theaters for two years, and now people, will finally have access to it, which is wonderful and so exciting,” she added.
“In January of 2026, we will have ‘Groundswell’ out, which is the final documentary in our trilogy. We are working on that one right now,” she said. “This new documentary is going to knock people’s socks off,” she underscored about “Groundswell.”
“It has been a 10-year-long journey to make these three films made for the world to see, and the fact that Amazon picked up all these three films is such a big breakthrough,” she expressed.
“Over the last two decades, we’ve been dragging people off the streets, and we’ve been putting them in theaters to watch our films. It is not easy to get people to watch environmental documentary films because somehow ‘Kiss the Ground’ reached a tipping point of people on Netflix and during COVID,” she explained.
“Now, we are going to get back in the mainstream with this message once again with ‘Kiss the Ground’ and with ‘Common Ground.’ They are making our three films their messaging for the climate pledge, and it is a sign that people are finally paying attention,” she elaborated.
“The great news is that this information of how we can reverse climate change through bio sequestration by taking carbon and putting it in the soil is going to get out now to millions and millions of people,” she exclaimed.
“We’ve already regenerated 50 million acres, and we have to regenerate a billion acres across the globe in order to reach that tipping point of 10 percent of terrestrial land in regeneration. That’s how we can turn this whole thing around.”
By joining this Global Watch Party Livestream event, people will receive two e-books for free. “We have such an incredible team,” she admitted. “Our education team is all over it.”

Rebecca on Regenerative coffee
Most recently, the Kiss the Ground organization launched certified regenerative coffee subscription service, which supports small scale farms and regenerative farming.
It is known for advocating for regeneration and healthy soil as a solution to the world’s wellness, water, and climate crisis.
Ever since 2013, Kiss the Ground has inspired millions to participate in the Regenerative Movement through storytelling, education, and partnerships.
“One of the things that has been super exciting is being able to see regeneration happening at the forefront of the movement because these acres are being transitioned,” Rebecca said.
“Also, seeing large corporations, who may not have been good players in the past, suddenly being committed to regenerating land, materials, sources, and their products,” she noted.
“So, watching these large corporations transition to regeneration has been awesome,” she exclaimed.
Rebecca Tickell on Demi Moore joining her environmental documentaries as executive producer
“We are thrilled to have Demi Moore as an executive producer on ‘Common Ground’ and she will be a narrator in our film ‘Groundswell’ too,” Rebecca said. “I think Demi will be a great, natural spokesperson for self-care and self-love.”
Closing thoughts on ‘Kiss the Ground’ and ‘Common Ground’ films
These two films highlight that humans can reverse global warming, and the Earth’s soil is the solution. By regenerating farmlands, humans can completely and rapidly stabilize our planet’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abundant food supplies.
Rebecca stated, “We all live on one planet and ultimately, it doesn’t matter what our political views are… we all breathe the same air, we all have to find those similarities and overcome those differences and work together, because our soil is our common ground. We have the solution, and it’s right under our feet.”
“We are thrilled to share these important stories with a global audience,” Rebecca expressed.

“Our films aim to inspire real change by highlighting the solutions today to address our environmental challenges,” she concluded.
